We start our Mexico City tours picking you up at your hotel in the morning and heading to El Zócalo; one of the largest main square in the world. Your guide will explain the history including how it has been an important meeting point for the community since the Aztecs inhabited the Mexico’s capital city territory.
Later we will continue to the National Palace, one of the oldest buildings in Mexico where we also will admire the art of Diego Rivera. This famous artist painted Mexico's history on the walls of this important building. Afterwards we will visit the Metropolitan Cathedral of México City, built using the very stones that had once been part of the Major Temple in ancient Tenochtitlán and considered the biggest and oldest Cathedral in all Latin-America.
There you will see its great facade with a baroque and neoclassical style as well as the interior where you can admire its various chapels and the famous Altar of the Kings. Enjoy the panoramic tour over the ruins of the ancient Aztec capital city, Tenochtitlan and around the Major Temple.
Finally we will visit the principal monuments of México City such as The Revolution Monuments, "La Diana Cazadora", "El Caballito", “Cuahutemoc” and more, all along the beautiful Paseo de la Reforma Avenue, one of the main and nicest avenues in Mexico City. On this avenue is where you will also find the famous "Angel of Independence" monument.
We will also visit Mexico's room in the National Museum of Anthropology. Among the highlights in the museum, you will admire the famous exhibition of the Aztec sun stone, a cosmological calendar.
All of this and more in our wonderful Mexico City tours, visiting the country's economic and cultural hub!
Afterwards we will return to our hotel for a traditional taste of Mexico.
