You’ll start your journey in Mexico City, where you'll visit the historic center and the pyramids of Teotihuacan.  Later, Taxco, which is the silver capital of Mexico and hosts one of the most beautiful Catholic churches of the country: Santa Prisca. Finally you’ll relax in Acapulco, the granddaddy of all the beach resorts in Mexico.

Day 1: Arrive Mexico City
Welcome to Mexico! Upon arrival in Mexico City we are met by our Adventures Mexico tour guide and then transferred to our hotel.  Breakfast and dinner included.

Day 2: Mexico City
This morning we will have a walking tour of the city which includes the Zocalo (or Plaza de la Constitucion), the principle square of the city and the National Palace. We'll also visit the Templo Mayor archaeological site and museum, the Catedral Metropolitana and the Palace of Fine Arts. After lunch we will visit the National Museum of Anthropology, one of the finest anthropology museums in the world where we will learn about the ancient cultures of Mexico.  Breakfast and dinner included.

 Day 3: Teotihuacan
Before going to Teotihuacan today, we will visit Three Cultures Plaza in Tlatelolco; here is where the largest Latin America market was settled in ancient times. Then a guided visit to the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe.
After lunch a short drive takes us to the ancient ruins and pyramids of Teotihuacan, City of the Gods. This is the most visited archaeological site in Mexico.  Breakfast and dinner included. 

Day 4: Xochimilco / Puebla
We will have an early transfer to Xochimilco Floating Gardens for a visit to the produce market and a boat trip through the canals. Mariachis and vendors will approach us in the canals as they did in ancient times.
After lunch we will go to Puebla. A guided walking tour of downtown will allow us to learn about the unique ceramics produced in this part of Mexico. Visits include the Cathedral of the Immaculate Conception and the Secret Convent of Santa Monica. Breakfast included.

 Day 5: Tepoztlan / Cacahuamilpa caves
After arriving to Tepoztlan and taking an orientation tour with your tour director, we will be able to see the market and Church of the Convent of the Nativity and climb to the top of the El Tepozteco Pyramid. Then we will visit the Cacahuamilpa Caves on our way to Taxco, the Silver city.  Breakfast and dinner included.


Day 6: Taxco  Taxco is a silver mining city and, although most of the silver is now brought from other parts of Mexico, you can find beautiful silver works at affordable prices. During the walking tour we in the morning, we will explore this quaint Colonial city highlighting the Zocalo and the Santa Prisca Church. After lunch we will head off to Acapulco.

 

Day 7: Acapulco
Free day at leisure to explore Acapulco and its beautiful beaches. Breakfast and dinner included.

Day 8: Acapulco
Free day at leisure to explore Acapulco and its beautiful beaches. Breakfast and dinner included.

Day 9: Return Home
Transfer to airport for return flight home. Adios Mexico!  Breakfast included.
