Cholula y Puebla Day Tour from Mexico City
ITINERARY
Our day trip begins in the city of Puebla, a UNESCO world heritage site which is famous for its Talavera ceramics, cuisine, crafts and textiles. Here many people from the towns still speak Náhuatl. You will visit the famous chapel of Rosario's Virgin and the historic center of the city. You will visit the Cathedral, Palafoxiana library , Central Square and other colonial places.
Later we will drive toward Cholula and along the ride you can see the two volcanoes; Popocatepetl and Iztlaccihuatl. The archaeological site of Cholula is one of the most antique sites in Mesoamerica and known by its big pyramid and sanctuary dedicated to the Virgin. This represents the end of the god of the Indians and the beginning of evangelization. Cholula also is famous because it has 365 churches, one for each day of the year.
Later we will return to our hotels in México for dinner relaxation.
