Day 1: Arrive Mexico City
Welcome to Mexico! Upon arrival in Mexico City we are met by our Adventures Mexico tour guide and then transferred to our "hotel."

Day 2: Queretaro / San Miguel de Allende
We'll start our journey to some of the most beautiful Colonial gems of Mexico. Our first stop is the city of Queretaro, named a UNESCO World Heritage Site. As we walk along Queretaro's cobblestone streets, we will discover Teatro de la Republica, Corregidora's House and the Aqueduct. Then we'll head off to romantic San Miguel de Allende where we will spend the night. We will experience first hand why San Miguel is one of the most appealing cities in Mexico.

Day 3: Guanajuato
After having breakfast in our hotel we will depart to Guanajuato, home of the renowned International Cervantes Festival. You'll learn about Mexican History at the Alhondiga de Granaditas and the Monumento al Pipila; these buildings take you back in time to Mexican Independence. You may want to have your picture taken at Callejon del Beso (Alley of the Kiss) and walk through the underground tunnels of this beautiful city.

Day 4: Guadalajara
Today we will drive to Guadalajara, one of the three most important cities in Mexico and home of some of the nation's most important cultural symbols: Mariachi, Tequila, Sombreros and Mexican Rodeos. We will be visiting the Historic Center of Guadalajara with its emblematic Cathedral, Degollado Theatre and the Regional Museum.

 Day 5: Tlaquepaque / Tequila
Today we will visit San Pedro Tlaquepaque, where ceramics, glass, jewelry and many other crafts are found. Then we will have an excursion to the town of Tequila, where the quintessential Mexican liquor is produced. We will see great plantations of the cactus-like blue agave plant along the way, the raw material of Tequila. Don't forget to sample some Tequila at any of the distilleries found everywhere in town.

Day 6: Patzcuaro
Early this morning we depart for Patzcuaro at the state of Michoacan. Patzcuaro shows off both fine architecture and a rich indigenous culture. We will have a walking tour of the town, visiting Gertrudis Bocanegra Plaza, the House of the Eleven Patios and Vasco de Quiroga Plaza. We will also have time to visit some of the small lakeside villages around lovely Lago de Patzcuaro.

Day 7: Santa Clara del Cobre / Morelia / Mexico City
After a visit to Santa Clara del Cobre, a small town renowned for its copper crafts, we will head to the capital of Michoacan. City of Spaniards, Morelia displays many examples of beautiful Colonial architecture built with pink stone. Of particular interest are the Cathedral and the Government Palace. We will also visit the Mercado del Dulce where we will find nothing but candies. This afternoon we drive back to Mexico City.

Day 8: (Teotihuacan) / Departure
If flying back home in the afternoon, we could schedule --not included- a visit to the pyramids of Teotihuacan this morning. We are then transferred to Mexico City airport and board our homebound flight. We return with lasting memories of colonial cities, ancient cultures, and a wealth of new friends! Adios Mexico!
