Embark on a journey through the soul of Mexico, where the seeds of a nation were planted and the most iconic expressions of its identity were born. This 8-day expedition is curated for school groups and curious travelers who seek to understand the evolution of Mexico from the monumental Aztec ruins of Tenochtitlan and the colonial grandeur of Guanajuato to the modern industrial and artistic power of Guadalajara. Students will engage with the history of the Revolution, the secrets of the mining era, and the world-renowned traditions of Jalisco, all while exploring UNESCO World Heritage sites that define the Mexican spirit.

Tour Plan

Day 1 Arrival in the Aztec Capital

Arrival at Mexico City International Airport (AICM) and transfer to your hotel in the historic center.

Day 2 Chapultepec, Modern Avenue & City Tour

A comprehensive day exploring the evolution of the capital. We start at Chapultepec Park, visiting the Castle to study the Mexican Empire. Then, we walk along Paseo de la Reforma to analyze its iconic monuments. We conclude with a City Tour through the historic center, focusing on the contrast between the colonial architecture and the bustling modern metropolis.

Day 3 Art & Tradition in Coyoacán - Frida Kahlo Museum

Morning visit to the Frida Kahlo Museum (The Blue House) to discuss 20th-century art, identity, and activism. The rest of the day is spent exploring the colonial neighborhood of Coyoacán, visiting its traditional markets and the San Juan Bautista church to understand the "village within a city" concept.

Day 4 Teotihuacán, Cacao Workshop & The Road to the Bajío

Early departure to Teotihuacán. Students will explore the Avenue of the Dead and the Pyramids of the Sun and Moon, focusing on Mesoamerican urban planning; afterwards they will have a hands-on experience at a cacao workshop. After lunch, we begin our private transfer to Guanajuato City, arriving in the evening to settle into our hotel.

Day 5 Valenciana Min, Alhóndiga de Granaditas & Callejoneada

A full day to explore the unique geography of Guanajuato. We visit the Valenciana Mine to learn about the silver trade and colonial labor. In the afternoon, we navigate the city’s famous underground tunnels, followed by a visit to the Alhóndiga de Granaditas and the University of Guanajuato. The day ends with a "Callejoneada" musical tour.

Day 6 Arte Tonallí workshop & Hospicio Cabañas

Travel toward Guadalajara. We stop in Tlaquepaque for an immersive hands-on experience at the Arte Tonallí workshop. Here, students will interact with master artisans to understand the ancestral techniques of barro bruñido (burnished clay) and regional ceramics. Upon arrival in GDL, we visit the Hospicio Cabañas to witness José Clemente Orozco’s powerful murals.

Day 7 JAPI (Jalisco Paseo Interactivo) & Mariachi

In the morning, we head to JAPI, a state-of-the-art interactive museum. JAPI is not just a gallery; it is a high-tech sensory journey where students use VR and 360-degree digital immersion to explore Jalisco's nature, history, and innovation. Highlights include a "flying theater" that simulates a journey over the state's diverse landscapes. We conclude with a farewell gala dinner featuring live Mariachi music.

Day 8 Final Reflections & Departure

After a final breakfast and a closing reflection circle at the hotel, private transfers will take the group to Guadalajara International Airport (GDL) for their journey home.
