Adventure Trip with the Best Team
In the company we have the tradition of making integration trips to promote the fellowship between us and also for visiting places and creating new routes we can offer to our guests, so we have to take one for the team and explore it first, so we can know if it’s going to be a great trip for our clients.
We started our day by visiting Mayapan, there we explored the Mayan ruins, ran all over the place, went up and down the biggest pyramid, took great pictures, and enjoyed challenging each other to see who would get down faster from the top of it. Of course we learned a lot more of the Mayan civilization in Mayapan. After getting enough sun for the whole week we went to refresh ourselves in a cenote called Mucuyche. It’s such a beautiful fresh water sinkhole, in which only if you bring your own diving goggles you can get to see how deep it is. We took some time to swim, jumped into the water and took some videos and photos for the record.
After a long day in the sun and swimming we were starving and we drove to a beautiful restaurant called La Finca Puuc, where we calmed our food craves whit Poc Chuc (Grilled pork), Longaniza de Valladolid (Pork sausage with achiote and spices made in Valladolid), Pavo en Escabeche (Pickled Turkey) and drank a refreshing lima water, not meaning to brag, but it was absolutely delicious.
After a little food break we went to Hacienda Temozón and took a tour inside the hacienda, they showed us the buildings, explained us the history of the hacienda and let us into the machine room in which the henequen (sisal) was processed. Of course, we took a lot of pictures for sharing. Read more about the tour here!
