Day 1 Arrival in Mexico City – The Capital of Contrasts

Arrive in Mexico City and transfer to your hotel. Begin with a drive along Reforma Avenue to see the Angel of Independence, followed by a walking tour of the Zócalo, the National Palace and Metropolitan Cathedral. Welcome dinner in a traditional cantina

Day 2 Chapultepec & Coyoacán – History Meets Art

Start your day at Chapultepec Castle, perched atop a hill with panoramic views of Mexico City. As the former residence of emperors and presidents, it now hosts the National History Museum, where visitors can explore exhibitions focused on the country’s pre-Hispanic roots, colonial era, and independence movement.

Later, travel south to the vibrant district of Coyoacán, known for its bohemian spirit and colonial charm. Stroll through the main plaza, explore local markets, and visit the iconic Frida Kahlo Museum (Casa Azul) to understand the intersection of art, identity, and politics in Mexican culture.

Day 3 Querétaro – The Conspiracy Begins

Travel to the colonial city of Querétaro, birthplace of the Independence conspiracy. Begin with a walking tour through the beautifully preserved historic center, exploring landmarks such as the House of La Corregidora, the impressive Aqueduct, and baroque churches that witnessed the secret planning of revolutionaries.

After dinner, experience one of the city’s most captivating traditions: Leyendas y Mitos de Querétaro, a dramatized night tour through colonial alleys and historic courtyards. Accompanied by professional actors and live music, you’ll encounter legendary characters as you immerse yourself in the rich mythos and real-life history of this UNESCO-listed city.

Day 4 San Miguel de Allende – Art & Faith

Arrive in San Miguel for a walking tour of the city center and the iconic Parroquia de San Miguel Arcángel. In the afternoon, visit the Sanctuary of Atotonilco (UNESCO), known as the "Sistine Chapel of Mexico."

Day 5 Dolores Hidalgo – The Cry of Independence

Embark on a day trip to Dolores Hidalgo, considered the birthplace of Mexican Independence. Visit the Parroquia de Nuestra Señora de los Dolores, where Father Miguel Hidalgo gave the legendary Grito de Dolores. Then explore the Museo de la Independencia Nacional, housed in the former residence of Hidalgo himself.

Pay tribute to another cultural icon with a visit to the mausoleum of José Alfredo Jiménez, and finish with a tasting of the town’s famous exotic ice creams. Return to San Miguel de Allende for the evening.

Day 6 Guanajuato – Colorful History Unfolds

Journey to Guanajuato, a city of legends and color. Explore the Alhóndiga de Granaditas, Juárez Theater, and the haunting Mummies Museum. In the evening, join a traditional Callejoneada (musical alley tour) with student minstrels guiding you through stories, song, and local spirit.

Day 7 Hands-On Culture in Guanajuato

Start the day with a Talavera-style tile painting workshop led by local artisans. Later, visit the Diego Rivera House Museum to discover the artistic roots of one of Mexico’s greatest muralists. Enjoy free time in the afternoon for shopping or relaxing in the city’s charming plazas.

Day 8 Cerro del Cubilete & Reflection

Take a morning excursion to Cerro del Cubilete, home of the towering Christ the King statue, symbolizing national faith and unity. Enjoy panoramic views and a moment of reflection before returning to Guanajuato for a free afternoon to revisit favorite sites or rest.

Day 9 Departure from León

Morning transfer to the city of León for your departing flight. If time allows, enjoy a brief visit to the León Cathedral or a local leather goods workshop before saying farewell.
