This immersive journey blends musical performance, cultural discovery, and meaningful human connection across the Yucatán Peninsula, including the historic cities of Mérida, Campeche, Izamal and Valladolid, Izamal. Designed for bands, orchestras, and choirs, the program combines concerts, rehearsals, cultural experiences, and musical exchange, creating a true international concert tour rather than a traditional sightseeing trip.

Throughout the journey, ensembles benefit from multiple performance opportunities with strong audience potential, a well-structured rehearsal flow to ensure high-quality concerts, and meaningful exchanges with local musicians and communities. The itinerary is carefully paced to include iconic cultural landmarks of the Maya world while preserving the group’s energy and focus for rehearsals, soundchecks, and performances.

More than a tour, this program is a musical and cultural exchange experience, where students not only visit the Yucatán Peninsula they perform, collaborate, and connect through music.

Tour Plan

Day 1 Welcome to Merida!

Welcome to Merida City!

Arrival at Mérida International Airport and transfer to Hotel María José. Time to rest and settle in, followed by a light orientation walk or welcome dinner.

Day 2 Rehearsal & Mérida Cultural Exploration

Morning rehearsal (approx. 2 hours) at Centro Cultural Olimpo. Afternoon visit to Mérida’s Historic Center including Plaza Grande, Cathedral, Government Palace, and Paseo de Montejo.

Day 3 Exchange, Museum Visit, Media & Performance (Mérida)

Morning exchange or outreach with UNAY or Centro Estatal de Bellas Artes; visit to Museo Arqueologico Palacio de Cantón. Optional media interaction with Tele Yucatán. Afternoon rehearsal at Centro Cultural Olimpo (primary) or Teatro Daniel Ayala Pérez (alternate). Evening performance.

Day 4 Transfer to Campeche, City Tour + Performance

Transfer to Campeche, upon arrival conduct a walking tour in the historical city center and check-in at Hotel Misión Campeche. Afternoon Rehearsal at Teatro Juan de la Cabada (primary) or Teatro Francisco de Paula Toro (alternate). Evening performance.

Day 5 Campeche to Valladolid with visit to Uxmal or Chichen Itza & Izamal

Morning departure from Campeche. Visit either the Uxmal or the Chichen Itza archeological sites. Optional visit to Izamal´s Historic Center. Arrival in Valladolid and check-in at Ecotel Quinta Regia.

Day 6 Valladolid Walking Tour & Performance (Valladolid)

Morning visit to Valladolid´s city center. Afternoon exchange or outreach with local groups. Rehearsal at Convento de San Bernardino (primary), Casa de la Cultura Valladolid or Teatro José María Iturralde Traconis (alternate). Evening performance.

Day 7 Cenote Visit, Transfer to Cancún & Farewell

Morning visit to Cenote Suytun for a refreshing swim. Transfer to Cancún and check-in at Hotel Adhara Cancún. Afternoon at leisure and farewell dinner.

Day 8 Hasta pronto Mexico!

Your adventure has come to an end but the memories of a great Yucatan trip will stay with you forever: music concerts, new venues, beautiful landscapes. After breakfast, your driver will pick you up at your hotel and take you to Cancun's International Airport where you will say goodbye to your Tour Leader and take your flight back home.
