Day 1 Welcome to Merida
Welcome to Merida City! Today after your arrival to Mérida's Airport your driver will be waiting for you. He will drive you to the Hotel and after the check in you will have the rest of the day to discover the nearby places by your own.
Day 2 Mayapan + Santa Barbara Cenotes
To start the day, you will have a warm welcome at our hotel. Then you will visit the Mayan ruins of Mayapan which is considered the last great Mayan city. The city was still alive when the Spaniards arrived to the region and by that time, it was still an important and powerful urban center.Then you will go to the beautiful Santa Barbara Cenotes where you will refresh yourself swimming in the clear waters of this underground rivers.
Day 3 Grutas de Loltun + Kabah + Uxmal + Lunch en Muna
Today you will start your day visiting the underground loltun dry caves with amazing formations of stalactites and stalagmites. You will also visit the most important cities of the Central Puuc region.Very close from this site, you will be able to go to the archeological site of Uxmal and Kabah, This splendid sites show how elaborated and decorated is the Puuc Style compared to the rest of the Mayan sites.The Mayan temples are still well preserved. To finish the day off you will have lunch in Muna’s local market.
Day 4 Izamal + Ek Balam + Valladolid
Today you will visit two magic towns of Yucatan. First, you will visit the Magic Town of Izamal. Then, on your way, you will find the archaeological site of Ek Balam. The name means black jaguar and it is famous for owning the enormous elaborate Acropolis pyramid. Following this activity, you will learn about the history of the colonial city of Valladolid, the second Magic Town.
Day 5 Coba + Chichen Itza
Today you will visit Chichen Itza, one of the best known and well-restored archaeological sites of the Yucatan. Chichen Itza is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and was named one of the “New Seven Wonders of the World.” To continue with your journey you will visit the site of Coba with one of the highest pyramids in Mexico.
Day 6 Campeche + Edzna
This morning you will visit the ancient Mayan city of Edzna, which is located in the state of Campeche. Archaeologists believe that this Mayan city was influenced by the Itza family, which is important for its presence in Chichen Itza. After visiting Edzna you will arrive in San Francisco de Campeche, a beautiful walled city, perfect for photography and exploration and capital of the state. Since it still has remaining’s from the time pirates invaded. Campeche is considered a World Heritage site by UNESCO.
Day 7 Calakmul + Merida
During this day you will discover the amazing site of Calakmul where you’ll be marveled by the pyramids inside the Campeche jungle. This is a very different archaeological site that will show you the variety of Mayan architecture styles.
Day 8 Dzibichaltun and Maya Museum in Merida
Today you will go to Dzibilchaltun, an ancient Mayan city very close from Merida. Its name means “writing on flat stones”. It’s home of the beautiful “Temple of the dolls” and a beautiful open Cenote. Back in Merida, you will visit the Maya Museum which is a world-class museum. The Gran Museo del Mundo Maya has a permanent collection of more than 1100 remarkably well-preserved artifacts.
Day 9 Xcambo + San Crisanto Mangroves + Progreso Beach
Join us in this adventure and discover Xcambó, an ancient Mayan city and the only one located in the Yucatecan coast. Its strategic location turned this port into an important economic center of the ancient Mayas. Then, visit the beautiful mangroves in San Crisanto. Enjoy a boat ride and admire local wild life. Discover the “ojo de agua”, a fresh spring within the mangroves and home of various species, where you can take a relaxing swim. At the end, you will stop at Progreso beach to admire the main port of Yucatan.
Day 10 Depart Mexico
This is the Last day in Merida City, after breakfast your driver will pick you up at your hotel lobby to take you to the Merida's International Airport, this is where the trip ends, see you soon Mexico!
