Day 1: Arrive Mexico City
Welcome to Mexico! Upon arrival in Mexico City you will meet your Tour Leader outside the airport. The driver will take you to the hotel so you can settle in and have the rest of the day to wander the streets to discover the nearby places on your own. Finish the day with a unique welcome dinner.

Day 2: Mexico City Tour – Anthropology Museum
After breakfast your Tour Leader will take you on a walking tour at the Historic Center. Discover most of the Mexico City attractions: the Zocalo (or Plaza de la Constitucion), the National Palace, the Templo Mayor and much more! After lunch you will visit the Anthropology Museum, one of the finest anthropology museums in the world where you will learn about the ancient cultures of Mexico.

Day 3: Tlatelolco –Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe – Teotihuacan
Before going to Teotihuacan today, you will visit Three Cultures Plaza in Tlatelolco; here is where the largest ancient market of Latin America was settled. Then a guided visit to Basilica de Guadalupe (Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe). After that, a short drive will take you to the ancient ruins and pyramids of Teotihuacan, City of the Gods. This is the most visited archaeological site in Mexico.

Day 4: Flight to Merida – Uxmal – Merida City Tour
You will take a morning flight to Yucatan Peninsula. The first spot will be Merida, Yucatan. Once settled in your hotel, you will visit the archaeological ruins of Uxmal. Here a guide will introduce you to the Magician's Pyramid, the Governor's Palace, and the "Nunnery" Quadrangle. After your tour you will continue on to the capital and main commercial city of Yucatan, Merida and have a guided tour.

Day 5: Santa Barbara Cenotes
This morning you will visit the Cenotes of Santa Barbara. The cenotes are sinkholes where underground rivers break through the limestone crust of the earth. For Mayas, they represent the doorway to the spiritual underworld. You will get on a horse drawn cart, to visit and swim the beautiful and clear cenotes.

Day 6: Celestun Flamingos Tour
Celestun is home of the biggest settlement of the Pink Flamingo in the continent. Today you will go to the Natural Reserve and take a boat ride to learn about the local wildlife and the importance of mangroves in the region. You will have time to swim and relax at the beach after lunch. In the afternoon you will return to Merida.

Day 7: Chichen Itza – Ik Kil – Playa del Carmen
You depart this morning to Playa del Carmen on the Caribbean Sea. This is Mexico's largest resort area, known as the "Mayan Riviera." On the way you will go to Chichen Itza and see its magnificent architecture, including the imposing Castillo de Kukulcan Pyramid. You also learn about the "hoop dreams" of the Mayas as you visit the ball courts and learn about the game of pok-ta-pok. Before arriving in Playa del Carmen you take time to visit Cenote Ik Kil, a beautiful subterranean pool under an arched limestone roof.

Day 8: Free day in Playa del Carmen
Today you will enjoy the day relaxing by the beach or visiting the famous 5th Avenue, where you can find all kinds of shops and discover great places to find souvenirs, eat authentic Mexican snacks and enjoy a great Mexican sunset on your last day in Mexico.

Day 9: Hasta pronto Mexico!
You are transferred to the Cancun airport this morning and board our homebound flight. You return with last memories of exotic landscapes, ancient cultures, and a wealth of new friends! Adios Mexico!
